One of the most hi-energy and engaging bands in the state, VIP guests like CC Smugglers have wowed audiences at Glastonbury, Cambridge folk festival and many more with their magnificent performances on Americana, jazz, blues and folk. Open-mics on Tuesday at the SoundHouse

Open-Mic refers to unplugged singing where the music is primarily sung by solo singers or instrumentalists. Initially this music had no electrical amplification, but now people include the melodious sounds of guitar. In Leicester, Tuesday nights have become very popular and usually have a reasonably good audience. Artists are advised to arrive between 7 and 7.30 p.m. to sign up for a slot. First come first served. People can enjoy hot snacks along with some beer and enjoy listening with their full appetite.
